Naples Outfitters and Naples Kayak Company are proud to announce we will be hosting Oscar Chalupsky, co-owner of Epic Kayaks and 12 time Molokai World Surf Ski Champion, to put on a Surf Ski Master Class and Open Water Paddle following the next day. Information on where to go can be found below. All kayaks are welcome but surf skis and performance touring kayaks will allow you to get the most out of this class. Rookery Bay is one of the last pristine Mangrove forests and is protected by the Rookery Bay Nature Preserve. Over 150 different species of birds and fish were either born or live in this Mangrove estuary. Manatees, Dolphins and dozens upon dozens of different shore and wading birds can be seen. Shorter, more stable boats are used on this tour and are great for taking pictures with. Making sure to have some way to protect any cameras from the water are recommended though.

Take a very slow laid back paddle through the Rookery Bay preserve and enter a birding paradise on calm days and watch as the water teams with life on the warmer days. Great tour to do on the windy days as it is almost 100% sheltered from the winds.

Tours are $45 per person no matter what kind of boat you choose to use on the tour. Duration is 2.5 hours and is a slow paced laid back nature watch style paddle.

Tours leave at 9am or 1pm. Generally there is a better chance of a greater abundance of Wildlife being on the water earlier as less people on on the water disturbing them.

Our tour from Johnson Bay leaves from our Private Beach on the Isles of Capri. Pick from your choice of Single or Double, Sit In or Sit On Top kayak and take a leisurely paddle across Johnson Bay just South of Rookery Bay. Once across we head into the back Mangrove estuaries and learn about the ecology of the area while traveling through Mangrove tunnels.

 All trips are catered to the skill level and desire of the group and the weather we have that day. If Sunny skies and sandy beaches are what you desire the direction can be changed and head towards the Gulf island hopping from Mangrove islands to beaches along the way. The shoals off of Keewaydin Island offer some of the best shelling in the world!

Enjoy a leisurely trip through one of the best shore and wading bird Estuaries in Florida. Travel from Clam Bay down towards Clam Pass passing through shallows and mud flats traversing a broad selection of eco systems. Jumping mullet and diving Ospreys can be seen all around with chances of seeing Manatees relaxing or Dolphins teaching their young to catch fish.

Your choice of trip either out the pass and into the Gulf or a trip through the Mangrove tunnels of the Clam Pass canoe and kayak trail.

Going with one of our guided tours allows you to get more from your kayak experience. Not only will you learn and see more but the instructor will provide hands-on-training as you go, making your whole trip more enjoyable. Our guides are all ACA (American Canoe Association) Certified Instructors as well as Florida Master Naturalists.

This tour is located at Clam Pass off of Seagate Dr. in Naples and leaves at 9am and 1pm. (Summer we generally stick to 9am due to temperature and inevitable afternoon thunderstorms)

We have something for all skill levels. You can launch your trip from one of our locations or take the kayaks from our shop to your own destination. Stand Up Paddle Board Rentals Naples

Looking to try out some boards before you buy? Down on vacation and don’t have your own board or just looking to try something new we’ve got you covered. Grab a SUP at one of our spots on the water and go right away or give us a call or e-mail and get a board from our store to take where you’d like. Beach deliveries are daily at 10am (by appointment) with pickup at 2pm at 3rd Avenue North on Naples Beach – ($20 for delivery and pickup)

Stand Up Paddleboard rentals on the water are also available from the Isles of Capri near Marco Island, Bayfront Plaza near downtown Naples and from Park Shore Marina in The Venetian Village. Find out more about those locations here.
