We are very sorry to tell you that until further notice, our Birds, Birds and More Birds tour is suspended.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is not allowing the public or tour operators access to the end of Shell Island Road, where we launch this tour into Rookery Bay. The DEP is still cleaning debris left in the waters of Henderson Creek, Rookery Bay and Hall Bay resulting from Hurricane Irma, which they say makes the waters unsafe. As soon as possible we will resume this tour. Please check this web page periodically for updated information. We still offer tours at the Isles of Capri and Wiggins Pass, as well as our Sea Kayak tours into the Ten Thousand Islands. Thank you for your interest in our guided tours!
Guided Kayak Tour
Birds and More Birds! Every afternoon, starting about an hour before
sunset, birds from all over the Rookery Bay area begin returning
to one particular island to spend the night. It is nothing short of amazing to see so many birds flying in from all directions. You can see this all for yourself!
Guided Kayak Tour
No other Guided Kayak Tour we know of offers you more of a close-up, personal experience
of (Click the link to the right!) Bird-Watching with so many birds at one time during a Sunset Tour. Often, we have dolphins swimming near the boats, as well. Your kayak guide will be a trained naturalist and certified kayak instructor. Prior to getting into place for the bird show, your guide will lead you through stunningly beautiful, winding, mangrove trails. All the while you’ll be learning about the intricate relationship between the animals and plants of the mangrove estuary.
